Sarah Rae Rivers Wolff
Sarah Rae Rivers exists (or more to the point, is known to exist) in two timelines: Zero, and One.
In both timelines she was born in 1956. In Timeline Zero's 2014, she passed away due to complications from systemic lupus erythematosus (or just, "lupus"). In Timeline One, due to an intervention by an "older" version of Timeline Zero's John Wolff, she is still alive, "cured" by nanos, and married to the Timeline One version of -- John Wolff.
From an earlier marriage, she had two sons in both timelines. With John in Timeline One, she had a daughter, Ariela Rivers Wolff.
She studied Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at Indiana University, then married, had her first two children, and taught in a Jewish day school in Indianapolis off and on until her death in Timeline Zero. She did the same in Timeline One until she met the "younger" John Wolff, whom she married soon after.
She appears twice in The Lion of God, in which she is the protagonist in the prelude, "Time Will Tell", and is a supporting character in the last chapter of the book.
She probably existed in Timeline 1287 Left Sub 6 because the kami Amaterasu Omikami in that timeline is probably her daughter Ariela, but that hasn't been established for a fact yet.
Mesh capabilities
Unknown, but it is believed her daughter and granddaughters inherited their Mesh abilities through her.

Notes
Author's Mea Culpa
Yes, she is based on someone very dear to me, as I admitted in the afterword to The Lion of God. A person who did, in fact, die from complications of lupus. And that's all I'm going to say.
