WASP-110 (known as Vit to the sentients who occupy its third planet) is a G9 yellow, Sol-type star located about 1050 light years distant, in the direction of Sagittarius. The star is not visible to the naked eye from Earth, and would be in the southern sky if it were. It is slightly smaller than Sol (0.88 solar radius) and is about 3.6 billion years older than Sol (which is thought to be 5 billion years old).

It is 10 rotations, or between 1000-1100 hours at Warp 5, from Sol.

The star has a solar system consisting of six planets, including the aforementioned inhabited third planet, which is known as Xzl5!vt.
